Complete Blood Count (CBC with diff./platelet)
A Complete Blood Count or CBC is a great test to take to give you a “snapshot” of your health. This blood test gives important information about the kind and the number of cells in your blood. Physicians use this information to evaluate symptoms, help diagnose conditions and treat certain illnesses (like infections).
Chemistry Panel (16 Essential Tests)
The Chemistry Panel includes 16 essential tests that are typically requested by your doctor as part of a routine Check–Up or annual physical. This panel gives you or your doctor a clearer picture of your overall health.
Note: This panel requires fasting. Do not eat for 10-12 hours before taking the panel to ensure its accuracy.
Cholesterol Blood Test (Lipids with HDL/LDL Ratio)
The Lipids Panel can determine if you have abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. These are important because they can also help you and your doctor determine if you’re at risk for heart disease or other coronary (heart) illnesses.
Diabetes Maintenance Panel
The four tests in this panel will give you and your doctor a lot of knowledge. The Complete Blood Count (CBC) tests for blood disorders such as infection or anemia; the Fasting Glucose is used to detect both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, to help diagnose diabetes, and to monitor glucose levels in persons with diabetes.
The Estradiol Test measures the amount of estradiol (a form of estrogen) in your blood. This test will determine your estrogen status, evaluate your ovarian function and monitor the follicular development during ovulation. In men, this test is used to assess estrogen production levels.
Glucose (Serum) Test
The Glucose (Serum) Test, also known as the Fasting Blood Glucose Test, is the most common test used to diagnose hyperglycemia (higher-than-normal levels of blood sugar), hypoglycemia (lower-than-normal levels of blood sugar) and diabetes. It’s commonly given by your doctor every year and during pregnancy. In addition, Diabetics self-conduct this test multiple times a day to monitor their blood glucose.
The MicroNutrient Test measures your body’s ability to absorb 32 vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other essential nutrients within your white blood cells. This non-fasting blood test tells you if you have a vitamin deficiency and gives you a plan for how to correct it.
The PLAC Test
The PLAC Test for Lp-PLA2 is the only blood test cleared by the FDA to help identify the risk for stroke and heart attack. This simple, non-fasting blood test will give you and your doctor more information about your cardiovascular health, including whether or not you need more aggressive therapy.
Pregnancy Test – Blood Test (includes fetal age)
The Pregnancy Test with Fetal Age Chart is a blood test that not only tells you “Yes” or “No”, but may also give you an indication of how far along you are (if you are at least two weeks pregnant at the time off the test).
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)
The PSA Test (or Prostate Specific Antigen) is a substance a man’s prostate gland produces. This blood test will measure your PSA levels and if elevated, it may indicate prostate cancer, an enlarged prostate or inflammation of the prostate.
Prothrombin Time (PT)
Who should be tested? Anyone who has atrial fibrillation or deep vein thrombosis, or has had a heart valve replaced. Anyone who has a bleeding disorder or who is taking blood-thinning medicines such as Coumadin. What is the test for? To measure the time it takes for blood to coagulate.
VAP® Cholesterol Test
The VAP® (Vertical Auto Profile) Test is one of the most accurate and comprehensive cholesterol tests available today. It reports 18 separate components of blood cholesterol compared to just four in a standard test.
